Why is Mineral Makeup better for me than conventional cosmetics?
Our mineral makeup is better for your skin than conventional cosmetics as it contains no harmful substances. Our minerals are sourced from the earth, which are then crushed and mixed with oxides to give us mineral makeup. Our makeup is hypoallergenic, has not been tested on animals and is far more cost effective than convention cosmetics. Why would I choose Immersion Cosmetics over "any other" mineral makeup company?
Our mineral makeup colours are unique to us. We offer samples first, delivered to your door, follow up email and discounted samples if you are not satisfied with the colours. We want you to be fully satisfied with both our product and customer service and will advise you when we receive new products.

Is your mineral makeup safe for all skin types?
It is important to know that anyone can be allergic or sensitive to anything. However, we have eliminated the known sensitizers from our makeup. Fragrance, FD&C dyes, synthetic preservatives are the top three sensitizers. Individuals with extreme chemical sensitivities wear our makeup successfully.

Is your Mineral Makeup good for oily skin?
Yes, our mineral makeup is fantastic for people with oily skin, the loose powders absorb the oils and no bacterial can form.

Is your Mineral Makeup ok to wear on acne prone skin?
Yes, our mineral makeup is ideal for skin with frequent acne outbreaks, post surgery and sensitived skin and skin with rosacea, it is 100% natural pure mineral makeup, contains no additives, preservatives, no harmful irritants or fragrances that may cause your skin to react, it is hypoallergenic and is so light it actually allows your skin to breathe. It contains a natural antiseptic and astringent from Zinc Oxide. It is a perfect Organic Cosmetic. It quite simply calms your skin.

Will your Mineral Makeup make my skin look shiny?
No, our cosmetics provide a matte finish with a youthful glow. The majority of mineral makeup companies use an ingredient called Bismuth, this tends to make the makeup look shiny. Our mineral makeup does not contain this.

Is there an SPF factor in your Mineral Makeup, do I have to wear additional sunscreen?
Our mineral makeup contains its own SPF which protects from sun damage and pollutants. It contains no harmful irritants that may cause your skin to react. There is no need to apply additional sunscreen, however as you can never wear too much sun protection, you may if you wish. It contains natural antiseptic and astringent from Zinc Oxide, which in its own right is a natural sunscreen. It contains Titanuim Dioxide which is a natural sunscreen providing UVA and UVB protection.

Do you have a guarantee on your products?
Yes, we guarantee our products are 100% natural. If they arrived damaged and returned unused we will replace them free of charge.

How do I choose the colours that are right for me?
You can send us a photo of yourself and we will advise you on what colours are right for your skin tones, or you can order our Starter Kit, (click here for a more detailed explaination on our mineral makeup starter kits) Contact Us, in which you receive small sample pots to experiment with, when you are happy with your choices we will discount your next order. Is your Mineral Makeup long wearing?
Yes, our cosmetics are highly pigmented, which means you need very little to go a long way making our cosmetics very cost effective. Our mineral makeup will also not smudge or rub off like conventional makeup tends too, some women sleep in their makeup and it is still there in the morning.

Does Mineral Makeup have a limited shelf life?
No, as our cosmetics are 100% natural, they cannot support microbial growth. You will need not replace your cosmetics based on "expiration date."

Is your Mineral Makeup easy to apply?
Yes, our mineral makeup is very easy to apply, no dirty sponges or fingertips. Leaves a smooth velvety finish. We are passionate about offering high quality mineral cosmetics and ensuring our customers create the best look they can.

How does Mineral Makeup look on older and ageing skin?

Does your Mineral Makeup contain any preservaties, additives, dyes?
No, our mineral makeup does not contain any artificial frangrances, colours, preservatives or parabens which can cause allergies.

Do your Mineral Makeup products cake or dry in skin creases?
No, our mineral makeup is so light on your skin it allows your skin to breathe. You will not get clogging or caking of the pores and any skin type can wear our cosmetics with confidence. Our minerals actually trap moisture between the skin and the crystal layer, resulting in unsurpassed coverage and long wearing.

Is your Mineral Makeup Waterproof?
Under the new FDA monograph, no manufacturer is allowed to claim their product is "water proof", as the product would need to be applied to a human test subject, immersed in moving water. The highest rating permitted is "very water resistant". Our mineral makeup maintaned its SPF, and therefore acquired a "very water resistant" rating.

Foundation
Directions: Tap a small amount of powder into the top of your cosmetic pot, (samples use a saucer or a small bowl) and SWIRL your brush into it then tap off excess. TAP the bottom of the handle with the brush head facing upward on a hard surface (e.g. bathroom counter). This settles the powder into the brush head.

Start at the jaw line and move towards the centre of the face buffing in a gentle circular or downward motion firmly spread minerals on clean, moisturised skin to evenly blend pigments. Don´t be worried about applying a little pressure on your brush as remember some of the minerals have fallen into the brush, BUFF Buff and Buff, this is the way to a Flawless Finish.

You can layer the mineral foundation until you achieve your desired cover. The light refracting qualities of our pure mineral makeup gives it the ability to cover the skin naturally. For those with dry, flaky skin Immersion´s loose mineral foundation can be blended with moisturiser to create a cream foundation.

Liquid Mineral Foundation "NEW"

Blush
Directions: Loose mineral blushes are very concentrated and should be applied sparingly. The simplest way to apply them is with our Lovely Sable Blush Brush which has been designed with angle shape bristles to work the minerals into your cheeks, gently glide the colour over the apples of the cheek, and blend.

Multi-Purpose Colours (Eye Shadow / Liner)
Directions: Eye Shadow ~ Use any colour from the Immersion Range as eye shadow. Simply dip an eye shadow brush into the desired colour and apply to your eyelids. It maybe easier to put a little on your hand and work from there.

Choose a lighter colour as a highlighter to apply under the brow. Use a darker colour in the crease as a shader. We have an excellent double ended eye shadow brush that is a must for mineral Eye Shadows Eye Liner ~ Dip your liner brush into water then into the desired colour.

Mix the powder and water together on the back of your hand or in a separate container to create a creamy liquid liner. Carefully apply to the upper and / or lower lids.

Finishing Powder
Used sparingly over foundation adds a lovely airbrush finish. Look out for our New Silk Translucent Mattifying Finishing Powder - STM FP is the finishing touch to a flawless, airbrushed look. Acting as a mattifier, it minimises the look of larger pores, gently absorbs excess oils, and presents an airbrushed finish to any skin tone. Can be applied as often as needed without ever caking or feeling heavy.

Immersion Silk Translucent Mattifying FP. A Face Perfecter. May also be used alone for a natural, no-color look. New Product!

All Over Face Colour
Strawberry Parfait brings a natural looking luminosity that is similar to the dewiness of a childs skin. Strawberry Parfait is a wonderful addition to any mineral range. Experience the transformation to a younger, looking complexion with Immersion Strawberry Parfait.

When worn over, under or mixed with Immersion Mineral foundation, you can create a sheer luminosity that stays true and natural for hours. Concealer & Correctors
Use on blemishes only, then apply foundation. Fantastic for correcting redness due to skin conditions, or bruising etc. Apply to affected area only.

Luscious Lime is a break thru for spider veins, rosacea, and general redness, while Fresh Lavender helps to minimize yellowish bruising, or yellowish and sallow skin complexions. Prevents that washed out look!

If you are very oily please try our Oil Control Primer, designed to offer you an excellent primer for your foundations that will give you added protection while absorbing extra oil. Apply first, then your foundation and if required you can dust the Primer over your foundation. This is an excellent way of combating oiliness.

Consider our Concealer Brush for precision application of our correctors and concealers, for under eye, nose chin etc excellent for detailed work. A must have!

Mascara ~ For Thicker Eyelashes
Holding your mascara in the horizontal position apply your mascara at the base of the eyelash line and wiggle your brush all the way up to the top of the lashes.

Now for something many people do not know ... For Longer Lashes ... Hold your brush in a vertical position apply your mascara pulling the brush up towards the ceiling this will feel odd at first but it definitely works. If you need thicker and longer eyelashes alternate between the above doing multiple coats, just remember to take a minute and let the mascara dry in-between so you don´t have one big cakey mess.

Invest in our new Professional Lash Comb, if you have a plastic lash comb throw it out and upgrade to our Metal Lash Definer. This is a must have for anyone that uses mascara. After applying several coats of mascara your eyelashes tend to stick and clump together, separate the lashes with the Lash Comb for fabulous lashes.

Brows
Our Perfect Brow offers a cream to powder application. This is the best brow product you will ever use so throw away your pencils.

Apply onto brow with our new brow brush filling in your brows or use to define your brows. The Perfect Brow comes in 3 colours. Best of all you can use the Perfect Brow Cream to Powder as an eyeliner to define the lashes.

Tip: By pushing black eye liner into the line of the eyelashes you will create an illusion of longer, thicker lashes. Use our liner brush for this and see the results for yourself.

Multi Tasking Minerals
These are fabulous. Excellent for an all over eye shadow base for your eye shadows, liners etc, also the ultimate in a concealer for under eye and your face and body. Apply directly onto imperfections (dark circles, brown / red spots broken capillaries, scars etc) with our concealer brush then apply foundation.

Sable Mineral Foundation Brush
These Lovely Brushes have been purposely designed for the perfect application of Minerals. They are of the highest quality offering a short handle for easy handling. The bristles are made of ultra soft sable which feels luxurious on your skin.

Or be daring and try our new Designer Pink Kabouki Brush. This is the be all and end all in Mineral Application Brushes. Extra Soft, Luxury at its best. One question I´m asked a lot is. "I have a powder brush so why do I need another?" A Powder Brush is just what it says "for Powder", Mineral Foundation may be in the form of a powder but its crushed Minerals, you need the perfect brush to buff the minerals onto your skin.

I find Powder Brushes are too soft and don´t hold the Minerals very well causing the minerals to fall. If your happy to stay with your own brush for now that is fine but you may like to upgrade at a later stage and then you will really see the benefits of Mineral Foundation.
